Dr. Humpal attended the University of Iowa from 2003 to 2007, where he earned a Health and Sports Studies degree and played as a linebacker for the Iowa Hawkeye football team. Steve Fishman, DC

Dr. Steve graduated from Eastern Illinois University with his focus of pre-chiropractic. He then attended and graduated Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. While at PCC, Dr. Steve attended a variety of extra-circular courses, including advanced soft tissue techniques, Mackenzie Decompression technique, and others. Dr. Steve also worked alongside with respected rehab-based chiropractic doctors in Palmer’s rehab clinic. There he learned various rehab and other soft tissue techniques to help achieve better patient outcome. Dr. Steve previously practiced at an integrated clinic in Fort Dodge, IA. 

 Dr. Steve grew up in Normal, IL competing as swimmer both in club activities and in high school. Dr. Steve continued his swimming career into his time at Eastern Illinois University. During his time at EIU, he experienced a lower back injury while lifting. From that injury, Dr. Steve was introduced to the miracle of chiropractic. It was this injury and the following treatments that inspired Dr. Steve to follow a career in chiropractic. Dr. Steve believes that every patient, no matter the age, deserves the same approach to personalized care, attention, and hope that he was given with his first chiropractic treatment plan. 

 

Dr. Steve and his wife, Nikki, are raising their son, Owen. They are expecting another little boy in the month of October! Along with their growing family, they have also have two cats, Leia and Billy. In their free time, the Fishman family enjoy walks, bike rides, and any other fun outdoor activity. Dr. Steve also enjoys participating in the master’s swimming program for IFLY.

 

Nick S. Dolezal, DPT

While in graduate school at Clarke University, Nick continued assisting with their new football program helping to coach the kickers. Nick graduated from Clarke University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. He started his career as a PT in Arizona where he worked for an outpatient physical therapy clinic as well as helped to coach football at the local high school. He and his wife moved back to Iowa City in 2023 to be closer to friends and family and he continues to be passionate about helping out young athletes working with local high school sports teams in the North Liberty and Iowa City areas, as well as volunteering with the youth wheelchair basketball program. 

 

Nick Dolezal was born and raised in Iowa City where he attended Regina High School. Nick suffered an ACL tear early in his high school sports career but was able to get back to playing quickly thanks to physical therapy. While in high school, he participated in soccer and football, winning multiple state championships in both sports. He went on to attend Truman State University where he was able to continue playing football as a kicker while he earned a degree in Exercise Science.

 

Nick enjoys working with patients of all ages keeping them moving and enjoying life. Nick and his wife can be found spending time with their friends and family at various events in the community or out hiking with their dog.
